You deserve your independence. Let us help you.
These words appear – clear as day – on our website’s homepage. But it’s a lot more than a motto. And it’s certainly so much more than a marketing strategy. At Advantage Home Health Solutions, it is our truth. We believe so strongly in giving people back their senses of independence that we work tirelessly to continually come up with solutions that provide some sort of change in the lives of the people who become our clients.
It’s never lost on us that our clients are people – real people. And they have real issues that require assistance. When a person is stricken with an illness, endures a debilitating injury or is simply of an advanced age, he/she often loses the strength and mobility that once was taken for granted. We know that accidents happen. And we certainly know that – if we’re lucky – we’re all bound to get old and grey. We refuse, however, to accept that one must, at some point, accept a life where dignity and self-reliance have been stripped.
At Advantage Home Health Solutions, we believe in hope.
And we believe in offering senses of hope to the individuals who seek our assistance in getting important pieces of their lives back. If nothing else, that’s what our motto – something we hold dear – is truly all about. We are dedicated to offering people who are told that they “can’t” do something opportunities to show that they “can”.
Take the supposedly-simple task of getting up and down a flight of stairs. What is easy for most of us is a harrowing task for many others. Our stair lifts provide a solution that enables an individual with mobility issues to safely get up and down the stairs without fear of falling or creating further injury. It’s means a lot to us to know that our products have not just given people back their independence, but that they have reinvigorated so many with new senses of hope.
There are a number of examples that we are proud of. One, in particular, involves a lovely lady named Lynn who we met when she was near the end of her life. Her wish was simply to live the rest of her days at home with her family. This is something we were determined to help her with. We installed a stair lift, ramps and even some bathing equipment to make her final days as comfortable as humanly possible.
It was only about a week later that we heard from Lynn’s husband who called to inform us about her passing. With heavy hearts, we set a date to remove all of the equipment we installed. But, in an ironic twist, it was Lynn’s husband who was able to provide us with some comfort. With no pun intended, he pointed out that the stair lift we installed was only used twice, but it did more to lift Lynn’s spirits than it did to help with her mobility issues.
It gave her hope, he told us. Having her sense of independence restored, Lynn was given the peace of mind in knowing that she was able to turn a “can’t” into a “can”. We were both relieved and very proud to hear of this news. Experiences like these keep us humble. We are grateful to have the privilege of working with people who count on us to give them back senses of dignity, pride and self-reliance.
Hope, it appears, is the greatest solution we can provide.
