Straight Through Wheelchair Platform Lift Installation in a Garage in Calgary
This family had a staircase and needed a wheelchair platform lift installed. We rebuilt the deck and the staircase then we installed the vertical wheelchair platform lift.
We can see the absolute preciseness of the platform and how it’s installed with less than an inch of gap between the platform of the wheelchair lift and the decking at the top of the steps.
The gate is closed to disallow access to the wheelchair platform here. It is open to the stairs at the top, allowing other users of the home to continue to have safe access to the stairs.
We built the railings and gates in this installation and although the family already had steps in place, we built new stairs to ensure accuracy of things lining up. This is a picture of the gate which is in the position to close off the stairs.
