Maintaining Our Commitment To Our Clients In Need

Surely, you don’t need yet another reminder that the entire world is currently contending with the coronavirus pandemic. However, at Advantage Home Health Solutions, we feel it important to affirm our stance in supporting those most vulnerable to infection.

Our team has long been dedicated to a very important part of our population – the elderly. We are also just as committed to individuals of all ages who have mobility issues. Our clients continue to require our assistance, during this tough time, so we have no plans of taking any time off.

The health and safety of Albertans is a top priority for us.

As confirmed by Alberta.ca, our province is nearing 400 COVID-19 cases and it’s up to all of us to help stop the spread. Again, while you may not need a reminder, we feel it necessary to do our part in reminding you about the importance of regular hand washing (warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds), social distancing and self-isolating as much as humanly possible.

The Advantage Home Health Solutions team is continuing to meet with clients who need assistance. We are also open to having guests come into our store location at 1687 32 Avenue NE in Calgary. However, it’s important to bear in mind that we do have some specific cleanliness policies in place. We are insistent on maintaining a clean environment that is regularly disinfected. Everyone at our location is keeping their hands clean through a combination of regular washing and hand sanitizer use.

We have also posted a notice for all those entering our location. It includes important information including the necessary health-preserving measures recommended by Alberta Health Services. As well, the notice includes numbers to call for additional information and assistance.

The AB Health Services website offers some very valuable resources.

They cover social distancing, help in tough times and even COVID-19 podcasts. The site also hosts links for information regarding people visiting patients.

“Thinking of visiting a loved one in a Long-term Care or Continuing Care Facility?” it asks, “Effective immediately, only one, single essential visitor at a time may visit residents in Long-term Care, Supportive Living and Congregate Living Settings. Essential visitors are defined as family, friends or paid companions providing care necessary for the well-being of the resident and visitors attending to a resident who is dying.”

Our doors are open and we are taking care!

Needless to say, we are all going through trying times right now. We are confident, however, that if we all do our parts, we’ll see brighter days sooner than later. It’s important, of course, to take necessary precautions as they are outlined by our nation’s health professionals.

As a result, the Advantage Home Health Solutions team is not currently working with any long term care facilities unless we are explicitly asked to do so.  These facilities, like others throughout the country, have excluded non-resident access, except for their caregiver staff.
